The real-life Menendez brothers have been the center of conversation for the last few months, and a lot of that can be traced back to Ryan Murphy’s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. The show, which offers a fictionalized account of the brothers’ murder of their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez, tells different points of view of what might have happened the night of the murder. It stars Nicolas Alexander Chavez as Lyle Menendez and Cooper Koch as Erik Menendez.
Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story was not Nicholas Alexander Chavez’s first big role – the actor starred as Spencer Casadine in General Hospital from 2021 to 2024, which meant he came into the role with a great number of fans and expectations. He did, after all, win a Daytime Emmy Award for that role. Right on the heels of Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, Chavez also appeared in another Ryan Murphy project, Grotesquerie. He has no more projects announced, but with those under his belt, there’s little doubt we’ll be seeing a lot more from him soon.

Dating: Victoria Abbot
Nicholas Chavez is dating fellow actress and model Victoria Abbot. The two have reportedly been dating since mid-2023 but only went Instagram official in March of this year. Since then, however, they have both shared a lot of their romance on social media, proving now not just that they’re together but that they’re having a great time.
It is believed the couple met on the set of Ryan Murphy’s Grotesquerie, where they both star. Abbot plays a character called Andrea Saldana, while Chavez plays Father Charlie. Very little is known about the start of their relationship, but they started interacting more on social media this year and then took their relationship public.
Abbot’s big break came in the Netflix show Echoes, a psychological thriller starring Michelle Monaghan. In the show she played Gina, who swaps lives with her twin (played by her real-life identical sister Madison Abbot), starting a chain of events that will have dire consequences for both.
In August 2024, the 25-year-old Chavez shared a message on Instagram stories wishing his girlfriend a happy birthday alongside a photo of her on vacation in Italy. It read, “I love you to the moon and back a million times over. Happy 23rd birthday, baby!”
